Fun Farm Day Centres - AM Class

On Thursday we had FARM DAY!

We had 6 fun farm centres to rotate through. Here they are:

1. Play Doh Sculpting Centre - at this centre students made playdoh farm animals. We had a very talented mom who made excellent farm animal exemplars for the students to help them. Thank you!

2. Milking Centre - At this centre students learned about dairy cows by reading a book and then they practiced milking a cow (for pretend). We used gloves & milky water.

3. BINGO Centre - At this centre students played farm bingo! When get got a line in bingo, they got a treat to eat - a hay bale! Just kidding - they got a mini wheat, but we called them hay bales!

4. Sensory Table Centre - At this centre students played in the sand with the farm animals. They were very creative by coming up with games or activities to do here.

5. Weigh Scale Centre - At this centre students learned about different Saskatchewan grains and weighed them. They guessed which grains were heavier and weighed them to find out. They learned that the heavier item was lower down on the weigh scale.

6. Lasso Centre - At this centre students learned about horses. We had a generous parent bring a saddle and a saddle stand for the students to ride on. We had pylons set up with pictures of horses or cows on them so they could practice lassoing the cows or horses. We had a real lasso rope and we also had hoola hoops to make it a little bit easier.

Thank you to our AMAZING parent chaperones. We appreciate you and I appreciate you! We could not have had this day without your help.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

This is the true dedication of our parent volunteers. They spent recess time prepping the gloves to milk and even found different gloves to try. Wow!
