Today we had 5 fun alphabet centres that the students rotated through. We had two parent volunteers come from each class - thank you!
Here are the five centres:
1. Lego Letters
At this centre students made letters out of lego!
2. Playdoh Letters
At this centre students chose CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) cards and tried stamping the word into the playdoh using green letter stamps.
3. Alphabet Bingo
At this centre students played alphabet bingo and used Alpha-Bits cereal as the bingo place markers. Of course students were able to snack while playing bingo and they ate all their cereal letters when they finished the game!
4. Slides & Ladders
At this centre students played alphabet slides and ladders. Upon landing on a slide students said the name of the letter. If they were correct they took a bingo chip. The goal is to get the most bingo chips!
5. Cookie Sheet Letters
At this centre students played with letter activity sheets, cookie sheets and magnetic letters.
